The Most Basic Ingredients of Acne Care Treatments by Karan Naidoo

Acne is a condition suffered through by both young and old. Because of this, people of all ages all over the world are continuously looking for ways to solve the pimple problem. Luckily, the market is never lacks in supplying us with various acne care treatment designed to get rid of embarrassing pimple break outs.
However, most of these products are expensive and unfortunately, not all of them are guaranteed to get you the results that you want. In truth, control of these blemishes does not entirely depend on the medications that you buy so expensively on the market. Instead effective acne care treatment only requires basic substances to control its spread. Listed are the most basic acne care ingredients required to cook up a soft and blemish free skin.
Ingredient #1: A Cleanser or Facial Wash
Acne usually occurs because of the dirt acquired by the sensitive skin of the face. When the dirt starts to clog the pores, the skin reacts by sprouting a pimple. This is why the most basic acne prevention treatment is to keep your face clean. This is the role of a facial wash or a cleanser. The substance is especially made to fight acne-inducing bacteria off the face and wash out all the dirt residing in the pores. The two main ingredients used to make a cleanser are salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide. The former helps in the breakdown of blackhead and whiteheads. It is also responsible for the slowing down of shed skin that causes blockage in the pores. The latter's (benzoyl peroxide) job is to minimize the number of bacteria in the face.
Ingredient #2: Exfoliator
The exfoliator is also called the toner. It basically removes dead skin cells and oil. The buildup of dead skin cells is one of the reasons for acne breakout. An exfoliator will remove these dead cells, allowing the pores to breathe and minimizing the development of pimples. The removal of excess oil from the face also prevents acne breakout as oil is a trigger of the condition.
Ingredient #3: Lotion
Some people are unaware of the importance of lotions in maintaining a clear looking skin. Lotions are mainly used for dehydration of the skin. It moisturizes the pores and reduces possible irritation of the skin surface. Most lotions are also devoid of oil and comes up great scents depending on the wearer's wishes.
Regardless of what brand you use for your skin regimen, these three are the most vital parts of the process. However, different brands make up for different substances so make sure that the label agrees with your skin type. To make sure that you won't encounter any skin problem from using acne treatment products, try asking the help of your dermatologist so that she can recommend you something that works best for your complexion.
Keep your face clean and try to avoid touching it as much as possible. Stick to the regimen and pretty soon you'll find yourself sporting a clear, blemish free skin.
